Questions people actually ask

What can I actually use today?

Days 1 to 30 of the daily course, the first three days of every other course, every hiragana, katakana and kanji chart, all 831 vocabulary words, the grammar reference, the 17 situation guides, the review deck, the handwriting practice and the printable charts. All of it free, no account, no card. That is a real amount of Japanese and it is not a demo.

Why is everything else locked?

Because it is finished but not checked. Every Japanese item on this site is reviewed by a native speaker before it goes live, and that review is still happening. Charging for material we have not verified, or giving it away before it is right, are both worse than making you wait.

Is there a waiting list?

No, and there is deliberately no email box on this page. When the courses open they will simply be there. If you want to be told, the newsletter link in the footer is the only list we keep.

Is the free tier a trial that runs out?

No. The free part stays free permanently. There is no clock on any of it, and nothing you can use today will be taken away and sold back to you later.

Is there an annual plan?

No. Monthly or once, nothing in between. An annual plan asks you to bet a year on a site you have used for ten minutes, and it mostly exists to make the monthly price look bad. If you want to commit, Lifetime is the honest version of that.

What does Lifetime actually include?

Everything on Learn Japanese Online Hub, for as long as the site exists, including every JLPT level as it is built. It does not include the other language sites in the network, because those are separate products with their own costs.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your account settings, in two clicks, without emailing anyone or giving a reason. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access to the end of the month you have paid for. No cancellation fee, no phone call, no retention offer.

What if it is not for me?

Email us within 14 days of your first payment and you get your money back. We would rather refund you than have you paying for something you do not open.
