Games · daily lesson vocabulary
Play what you have learned.
Pick how far through the course you have got, and the games use every word from day 1 up to that day. Nothing else, so you are never guessing at vocabulary you have not met.
Which game to play
Speed round is sixty seconds of picking the right meaning. It is the one to play when you have five spare minutes and want to know which words are actually solid, because the ones you hesitate on are the ones you have not learned yet.
Flashcards go at your pace and let you hear each word read aloud. Marking a card as known earns points, and pressing "study again" pushes it to the back of the deck instead of the bin.
Match puts six Japanese words and their six meanings on the board in a random order and times how fast you clear them. It is the best of the three for spotting the pairs you keep mixing up.
Games are practice, not review
These are for speed and recognition. They do not decide when a word comes back to you: that is the job of the review deck, which schedules each word for the moment just before you would have forgotten it. Play the games because they are quick and they are fun. Do the reviews because they are what makes the words stay.
The pool covers days 1 to 30 of the daily course, which is everything open right now. It grows as more days open.
