Grammar · Verbs

てください, please do

A polite request. The て-form takes some learning, so meet it verb by verb rather than as a table.

The mistake to avoid

It is a request, not a plea. Using it with a superior can sound like an instruction, so add すみませんが in front.

Examples

まってください。
Please wait.
もういちど いってください。
Please say that once more.
