Grammar · Particles
に, the destination and time marker
[Place] に 行く / [Time] に [verb]
に does two jobs at N5: it marks where you are going, and it marks a specific point in time. It also marks where something exists with あります and います.
The mistake to avoid
Only clock times, dates and days take に. Vague times like きょう, あした, いま and まいにち take no particle at all.
