も, too, also

[Noun] も

も replaces は or が and means 'too' or 'also'. Repeated, it means 'both' or, with a negative, 'neither'.

The mistake to avoid

も takes the place of は and が rather than sitting next to them. Never 私はも.

Examples

私も学生です。

わたしもがくせいです。

I am a student too.

水もお茶もあります。

みずもおちゃもあります。

There is both water and tea.
