[stem] かったです

Drop い and add かった for the past. Past negative is くなかったです.

The mistake to avoid

Never 楽しいでした. The adjective carries the tense itself, so です stays in the present.

たのしかったです。

It was fun.

寒くなかったです。

さむくなかったです。

It wasn't cold.
