から and まで, from and until
[A] から [B] まで
から marks a starting point in time or space, まで marks the end point. They work together or on their own.
The mistake to avoid
から also means 'because' when it follows a whole sentence, which you will meet later.
Examples
九時から五時まで働きます。
くじから ごじまで はたらきます。
I work from nine to five.
駅まで歩きます。
えきまで あるきます。
I will walk as far as the station.
