で, where an action happens and how
[Place] で [verb] / [Means] で
で marks the place an action occurs, and the tool, vehicle or language used to do it.
The mistake to avoid
に marks where something exists, で marks where something happens. 公園にいます is being in the park; 公園で遊びます is playing in it.
Examples
家で食べます。
いえで たべます。
I eat at home.
電車で行きます。
でんしゃで いきます。
I go by train.
